Lakewood Lifestyle Shoot | Claire | Dallas, Tx

My wife's friend Claire was kind and patient enough to model for us on this shoot in our Neighborhood. We were very excited to be able to experiment with light and try some new things. Even though I try to shoot weddings with the same excitement and try to be creative as possible, weddings still come with a set of restrictions. Sometimes it's easy to get in a rut and that's not good for anyone. This shoot was a great way to stretch our legs and try some new things just for fun and to have the opportunity to work with a talented model in a nicely lit space and shoot purely for the enjoyment of it which, I think, is something important for photographers to do. Anything can become work if you don't let yourself get back to the roots of what inspired you to create things in the first place. Hopefully this will be the start of a portrait/editorial project that I will continue working on in the future.
