House Of Dirt Engagement Shoot | Lauren & Spencer | Dallas, Tx

Lauren and Spencer were one of those couples that we hit it off with on our first meeting. We are super excited about their wedding this coming October! For this shoot we went to the lovely House of Dirt in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. HOD always makes for interesting light and the eclectic vintage inspired design makes for a perfect environment to shoot in. Especially if you're into the botanic boho sort of vibe. Lauren + Spencer were kind enough to lay on the ground in direct sunlight to let me play with the light. This was also the first shoot I intentionally used music to set the mood and I think this will be a regular thing that I do on shoots. I bought a little bluetooth speaker around Christmas which is now part of my standard equipment. Music is my first love and I feel more inspired when I have music to connect with. I also feel like it helps everyone synch up to the vibe of a shoot in a way that specific posing usually won't do. I've found that it also helps couples relax and have fun. Wine also does the same thing which we had too!
